Cape Town will host 9 Football World Cup fixtures including a quarter and semi final. The 4 December final draw will clarify which of the 32 teams will be adopted by the city for the duration of the tournament.
Public transport to the Cape Town Stadium
An integrated transport system linking Cape Town International Airport to the CBD, surrounding suburbs and the Cape Town Stadium is virtually complete. Our 2010 World Cup rooms are either within minutes of the stadium itself or are close to the main rail link to the city.
Getting to and from the stadium will not pose any problems. Dedicated shuttle buses will be available on match days to transport fans to and from the ground from major transport hubs.
Cape Town Attractions
Cape Town is a premier tourist destination with a number of diverse attractions. Table Mountain, Robben Island, the V& A Waterfront and the City’s winelands are all within close proximity of our World Cup accommodation.
Each of the suburbs – Sea Point, St James, Observatory and Mowbray – has its own distinctive allure. Pubs, clubs, theatres and restaurants abound, so in between games there will plenty of entertainment on hand.
Safety & Security
Our World Cup accommodation is located in safe, secure middle-income areas. Neighbourhood watches, private security companies and the South African Police will all ensure visitors to Cape Town have a safe and enjoyable stay.
